Today, grade 4 did an exhibition about brain. The exhibition at their classrooms. Not in the MPR room. It was quite confusing because we have to move to a classroom to another. Even it was a mini exhibition, they did a great job. They gave us lots of information, lots of games and lots of intresting things.I liked everybodys work. They did a great job!
We are learning division and playing a game that will help us in learning quicker, the division game is called Left over’s! In the game Left over’s you have dived the number’s you get and then whatever is remaining is what you move as your left over! We had a lot of fun dividing and figuring out the answer.
Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. It changes directly from a solid phase to a gas phase through a process called sublimation. 3SS had a lot of fun working with dry ice and exploring its properties. The pictures were taken by Auriane and the video was filmed by Kevin and Karl. So why is it called 'dry ice'? What else did you learn about dry ice?
Today in 3SS we did some weighing activities. It was FUN we were in groups of 2. We got assigned for different stuff. I will tell you what I did first. Ok so we got scales to weigh some gram’s and some kg’s. And we had to look for stuff which will weigh the same. Me and my friend were doing it together. And we had to use pencils and erasers wow we did not expect that. Now I will tell you about the other one ok. We had to find 10 small items. Then we had to estimate which item was the lightest to the heaviest item,Then we had to weigh them and put them in the correct order.
Have you ever wondered how babies stay dry in their diapers?
Today, we had a Diaper experiment and we cut off the diaper and get out the cotton and we get a one each gallon zip-closing plastic bag and we put our own cotton inside the bag and shake it. We shake until we saw a powder in the edge and put in a cup. Then we add water and we add water until the water gets absorbed.
Someone said the diaper was stinky but no one use it.
It was fun!
